The Film

Synopsis

Whalelands is an IMAX® journey into the living world of whales, filmed over seven years across Antarctica, Baja California, California, Northern Norway, Patagonia, and the South Pacific.

Through extraordinary behaviors, from communication and play to migration, maternal care, and predation, the film reveals whales as complex societies shaped by instinct, cooperation, and survival.

Captured with exceptional proximity and cinematic power, Whalelands is a giant-screen immersion into the beauty, intimacy, and raw force of life at sea.
